Work on the first Team Dynamics-build NGTC car started in July 2011 using the shell from a prototype road car – the road car not being unveiled to the public and on sale until some months later. The race car would finally hit the track in Feb 2012 and would become Matt Neal’s car for the 2012 season.

Unused in 2013, the car would be one of three re-shelled into Tourer bodywork and served as the teams’ spare for 2014. Re-shelled back to hatchback bodywork, the car would again be used by Matt Neal in 2015. Intended to be used as the team’s third car in 2016 but only used for one meeting after driver Andy Neate parted company with the team.

Intended to be used as a spare in 2017, however when Matt Simpson crashed his own car during pre-season testing, the car had to be hastily prepared as a replacement.
