Used by Rob Huff during the 2004 BTCC, and by James Pickford in 2005.In mid-2006 Motorbase acquired all three of SEAT UK's cars - XTS-008 and XTS-010 as complete cars, plus XTS-011 partly striped following Plato's accident at the final race of 2005.
Motorbase would initially run 008 in the final BTCC round on 2006, before expanding to a 2-car entry in 2007. For 2008 the 3 cars were sold to BTC Racing, and again used as a 2-car BTCC entry.
At the end of 2008 the 3 cars were bought by Paul McMillan to be run for his son Liam McMillan the following year. By this stage 008 and 011 were complete cars with 010 being a spare shell.
Initial pre-season testing used 008, fitted with a 16v engine, before switching to 011, fitted with a 20v engine, for the start of the 2009 season. At the second meeting of the year at Thruxton 011 was involved in big accident, with McMillan swapping to this car for the next meeting. However a dispute with their engine builder meant that the team would not race beyond round 3.
