Unlike most 120 BMW's built, the car was bought by Rick Kerry from BMW Motorsport in kit form in December 2006.
It was built for the 2007 BTCC where it was raced by Rick.
2008 the car sat out spending time being redeveloped returning in 2009 in the hands of Nick Leason.
Mechanical issues only allowed it to take part in 3 rounds.
At the end of 2009 the car was sold to Patrick Belien in Belgium where the car was stored not used.
Gunther Van der Hove acquired the car in 2015 and competed in the 2016 BGDC.
