Early history is yet to be confirmed but it is believed the car may have been used by Yvan Muller in 2007.

Sold to SEAT Sport Italia in 2008 and run in the Italian Endurance series, eventually being fitted with a 400+ bhp turbo engine. SEAT Italia owned two cars with a similar spec, this and XWT-016, it's believed that Roberto Colciago drove this car with XWT-016 being the spare.

In 2011, both cars were purchased by Pierre Piron and run in the Belgium endurance series. It is not known which of the cars he used; there is a suggestion that he may have switched between the two during the course of the year.

Purchased by Manfred Lewe in 2013, the car has been regularly run in the German Cup und Tourenwagen Trophy series ever since.
