Build by Triple Eight during 2013 as a spare car, although never used.

In 2014 the car was purchased by Marc Hynes and run by Triple Eight under the 'Quantel BiFold Racing' banner. Following the end of the 2014 season the car was put up for sale but a buyer could not be found and the car was put into storage.

At the start of 2017 the car was re-acquired by Triple Eight as a replacement for the damaged V2012-C-1510-002. The team had originally intended to build a new car but purchasing this car proved to be a more cost effective option.

Chassis scrapped after damage sustained at Croft 2017. Team overhauled V2012-C-1510-001 as its replacement.
