Run under the works 'VX Racing' banner for Tom Chilton in 2007, Tom Onslow-Cole in 2008 and Andrew Jordan in 2010. During the opening round of the year at Brands Hatch in 2008, the car sustained heavy frontal damage meaning that Onslow-Cole had to switch to the team's spare car (V2007-018) for the Rockingham round, returning to this car for Donington Park once the damage had been repaired. At the end of 2009, Triple Eight lost their works backing but were still able to continue development of the Vectra and put together a deal to run a two car team in 2010 with former champion Fabrizio Giovanardi in this car. Despite two wins at the opening round at Thruxton, Giovanardi's return to the BTCC came to an abrupt halt when the team's title sponsor pulled out. A last minute deal prior to the next round at Rockingham saw James Nash step into the car for the remainder of the year. Nash would again drive the car in 2011.
In 2012 both this car, and V2007-021 were acquired by ES Racing, with this car being raced by Chris James. For the next couple of years both cars were for sale, and eventually acquired by Breezemount Motorsport, by this time the car had been mostly stripped back to a shell.
Both 020 and 021 were purchased by Graeme Millar in 2015, and sold on to Martin Garrett a year later.
Who sold it back to Graeme Millar in 2021.
