Run under the works 'VX Racing' banner for Matt Neal in 2008 and 2009.At the end of 2009, Triple Eight lost their works backing but were still able to continue development of the Vectra and put together a deal to run a two car team in 2010, with Phil Glew in this car and Fabrizio Giovanardi in V2007-020. Following the first round at Thurxton, the team's title sponsor pulled out. A series of one-off deals meant the car would re-appear later in the year, driven by Dan Lloyd at Croft, Jeff Smith at Knockhill and Sam Tordoff at Brands Hatch.
For 2011 the car was run for the first half of the season in lurid green-pink livery for Tony Gilham. Sponsorship issues mean Gilham was unable to complete the season, which lead to a one-off drive by Árón Smith at Knockhill , and Ollie Jackson running at the final two meetings of the year.
In 2012 both this car, and V2007-020 were acquired by ES Racing, with this car being raced by Dave Newsham. For the next couple of years both cars were for sale, and eventually acquired by Breezemount Motorsport.
Both 020 and 021 were purchased by Graeme Millar in 2015.
